Djerba Tours, Boat Trips & Sahara Excursions

The island by minibus, e-bike or scooter, the lagoon by boat, quad or horse, the desert by 4x4 — every worthwhile tour from the hotels, compared and bookable in a couple of taps.

Djerba is easy to explore on your own by taxi, but its best experiences — the sea around Flamingo Island, the context behind El Ghriba and the Ibadi mosques, and above all the Sahara on the mainland — are much easier with a good operator.

Everything below is booked through GetYourGuide, which means live availability, free cancellation on most options and reserve-now-pay-later on many. Prices are indicative “from” starting points in euros and change with the season — tap any card for the current rate. Before you book, check three things on the listing: whether pickup covers your hotel (the Zone Touristique, Houmt Souk and Erriadh are 20–40 minutes apart), the start time, and whether the price is per person or per vehicle — quads, buggies and jet skis are often priced per machine.

Going to the desert? Read our Sahara day-trips guide first — the distances are longer than most people expect.

Good to know

Djerba tours: common questions

Frequently asked questions

Do Djerba tours include hotel pickup?

Most do, from the hotels of the Zone Touristique (Midoun, Sidi Mahrez, Aghir) and often from Houmt Souk. Guesthouses in Erriadh or other villages may need to meet at a nearby point — check the listing or message the operator after booking.

What is the most popular tour on Djerba?

The half-day island highlights tour and the pirate boat trip to Flamingo Island are by far the most booked. For the mainland, the Tataouine and Chenini day trip is the favourite.

Are prices per person?

Usually, but quads, buggies and jet skis are often priced per vehicle, and private transfers per group. Each card says when a price is per group.

Can I cancel?

Most tours on GetYourGuide offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start. The exact policy is shown on each listing before you pay.

Are boat trips cancelled in bad weather?

They can be, especially on windy days outside summer. Operators usually offer another date or a refund. Book early in your stay to leave room for a backup day.
